How to take measurements for a back necklace

Whether you're looking to get a custom back necklace made for your wedding, simply adjust an existing design to your needs or check if the design is right for you, it is important to have the right measurements.

 

With your dress on

If you're going to your dress fitting soon, that's a great opportunity to take the measurements for your back necklace at the same time.

• A : Distance between the two sides of your dress's décolleté.

• B : Distance between one side and the bottom of your dress back opening.

• C: Distance between your waist line and your collar line. 

• D: Distance between your collar line and the ideal position of your necklace drop end.

• Neck Circumference at the base of your neck.

• Reference Line 1 : Collar Line, usually where a necklace clasp sits.

• Reference Line 2 : Waist line, where the waist is at its thinnest.

Without your dress

Your dress fitting is already done? No worries, it is still possible to take your mensuration for your back necklace.

•  C: Distance between your waist line and your collar line. 

•  D: Distance between your collar line and the ideal position of your necklace drop end.

• Neck Circumference at the base of your neck.

• Reference Line 1 : Collar Line, usually where a necklace clasp sits.

• Reference Line 2 : Waist line, where the waist is at its thinnest.
